The Club Spokane Dodgers were founded in 2001 for the serious player looking for a more competitive and rigorous baseball program. The original players were all 12 years old at the time. Over the past seven years the Dodgers have evolved from a select-level travel club into a tight knit group of players and parents that we like to call the Dodger family. One of our mottos is "once a Dodger...always a Dodger."
The 2011 Dodger program will feature an 18U club and a 15U club. The Dodgers 18U club is managed by Jeff Simmelink with Ron Huffman, Taylor Skidmore, Bobby Brett, and Ryan Simmelink as assistant coaches. The 14U club is managed by Derek Simmelink with Shawn Mackin, Tim Rypien, and John Phelan as assistant coaches.
The coaches are serious about developing our players into being good citizens and conducting themselves appropriately both on and off the field. The lessons learned with the Dodgers will prepare our players to be future leaders in their communities. Club Spokane encourages the players to pursue other competitive high school sports, activities, and hobbies as a way to develop the complete student athlete.

(Bellevue, WA) The Dodgers 18U lost 6-1 to the Arizona Firebirds in the championship of the 2010 Connie Mack West Region Tournament. The Dodgers were attempting to be the second Northwest team to reach the Connie Mack World Series in the 30+ year history of the event. They are only the fourth Northwest team to reach the Regional Championship.
The Dodgers opened the tournament with a 8-1 win over the Northern California Champion West Lane Mets. The game featured a 3-hitter by Derek Peterson. Jon Rapose's 3-hitter led the way in the second round 3-1 win of Mudville Pinnacle (Host Team). In game 3, the Dodgers erupted for 8 runs in the 5th inning to come back from a 4-1 deficit to defeat the Southern California Champion Trombly Braves. The next game featured the tournaments remaining undefeated teams: Dodgers vs. Arizona Firebirds. The Firebirds prevailed 6-3. Cory Mack kept the Dodgers in the game with a gutty effort. The Dodgers then met Los Angeles' Conejo Oaks in an elimination game. The game took 10 innings but the Dodgers came through with a 4-2 win to earn another shot at the Firebirds in the Championship Game. Unfortunately the Firebirds had too much firepower. The Firebirds will represent the West Region well at the World Series.
Great job Dodgers on an incredible run.
