August 05, 2010: Dodgers 18U Runner-Up at Connie Mack West Regional
(Bellevue, WA) The Dodgers 18U lost 6-1 to the Arizona Firebirds in the championship of the 2010 Connie Mack West Region Tournament. The Dodgers were attempting to be the second Northwest team to reach the Connie Mack World Series in the 30+ year history of the event. They are only the fourth Northwest team to reach the Regional Championship.
The Dodgers opened the tournament with a 8-1 win over the Northern California Champion West Lane Mets. The game featured a 3-hitter by Derek Peterson. Jon Rapose's 3-hitter led the way in the second round 3-1 win of Mudville Pinnacle (Host Team). In game 3, the Dodgers erupted for 8 runs in the 5th inning to come back from a 4-1 deficit to defeat the Southern California Champion Trombly Braves. The next game featured the tournaments remaining undefeated teams: Dodgers vs. Arizona Firebirds. The Firebirds prevailed 6-3. Cory Mack kept the Dodgers in the game with a gutty effort. The Dodgers then met Los Angeles' Conejo Oaks in an elimination game. The game took 10 innings but the Dodgers came through with a 4-2 win to earn another shot at the Firebirds in the Championship Game. Unfortunately the Firebirds had too much firepower. The Firebirds will represent the West Region well at the World Series.

August 04, 2010: Dodgers 18U Repeat as Champions of Baden Classic Tournament
(Seattle, WA) The Dodgers 18U ran off seven straight wins to capture the championship of the Baden Classic Tournament at Husky Ballpark in Seattle. Following a 5-0 pool play record (Dodgers 13 NW Timberjacks 8, Dodgers 10 Seattle Braves 2, Dodgers 9 Narrows 0, Dodgers 7 Seattle Select 2, Dodgers 10 SBA Bombers 2) the Dodgers beat NORCAL Baseball 3-2 in the semi-final. In the championship, the Dodgers erupted for four homeruns (3 in the 5th inning) to beat the SBA Buzz 7-5. Nate Blackham (Mt. Spokane HS) was named Tournament MVP and Jason Renner (Ferris HS) was named Outstanding Pitcher.
June 14, 2010: Dodgers 18U Win 2010 Wilkinson Cardinal Classic
(Bellevue, WA) The Dodgers 18U ran off five straight wins to capture the championship of the Wilkinson Cardinal Classic Tournament at Bannerwood Park. Following a 3-0 pool play record (Dodgers 6 Toyota Baseball 2, Dodgers 9 Washington FCA 3, Dodgers 2 Seattle Braves 0) the Dodgers beat Narrows Baseball 5-3 in the semi-final. In the championship, the Dodgers beat Baden Baseball 9-1. The championship game was 2-1 through six innings before the Dodgers broke it open with 7 runs in the top of the 7th. Jordan Osborn only needed 72 pitches for the complete game in the championship. The tournament featured strong pitching performances from Austin Weber, Spencer Ansett, Carson Blumenthal (3-hit shutout), Derek Peterson, and Jason Renner.
June 11, 2010: Two Current And Two Former Dodgers Taken In MLB Draft
(Spokane, WA) Two members of the 2010 Dodgers and two members of the 2007 Dodgers have been selected in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft.

July 28, 2009: Dodgers 18U Wins 2009 Baden Classic Tournament
(Seattle, WA) The Dodgers 18U ran off six straight wins to capture the championship of the first annual Baden Classic Tournament at the University of Washington. Following a 4-0 pool play record (Dodgers 8 MTYAA Hawks 2, Dodgers 4 Timberjacks 3, Dodgers 8 Bankers 0, Dodgers 4 Seattle Stars 3) the Dodgers beat host Baden 6-3 in the semi-final. In the championship, the Dodgers beat the always tough Taylor Baseball 8-2. Jimmy Reed was named Tournament Outstanding pitcher and JJ Turbin was named Tournament MVP.
Congratulations to the Dodgers 18U club. One heck of a way to end the season.
June 17, 2009: Partridge Signs with Tampa Bay Rays
(Spokane, WA) Dodgers LHP/OF Jake Partridge recently signed with the Tampa Bay Rays. Jake was selected in the 18th round during last weekend's MLB First Year Player Draft. He will report to the Rays team in the Gulf Coast League next week.

May 26, 2009: 18U Dodgers Win Eastside Memorial Classic
(Spokane, WA) The 18U Dodgers erupted for 27 hits between the semi-final and championship to claim the title in the 2009 Eastside Memorial Classic Tournament. They beat the Washington Wave 17U 10-4 behind 13 hits in the semi-final. In the championship game, the 18U Dodgers had 14 hits and won 13-7 over the White Brothers Academy.
The tournament featured a 4 hit shutout by Aaron Awbery in pool play. Offensively the 18U Dodgers had several players with multi-hit games.
This tournament win marks the 18U Dodgers first of the season and second straight Eastside Memorial title.

(Spokane, WA) Six members of the 2009 Dodgers organization have committed to Division 1 Universities.

June 30, 2008: Dodgers Win 2008 Best of the Northwest Tournament
(Spokane, WA) Andrew Kittredge's double and Jake Partridge's triple sparked a 7 run outburst in the 5th inning to lead the Dodgers to a 10-0 victory over the Coeur d Alene Lumbermen in the championship of the 2008 Best of the Northwest Tournament. JJ Turbin had three hits to lead the offense. Nic Fowler scattered 3 hits over five innings to pick up the win.
Dodger pitchers were dominant over the five day tournament. Rusty Shellhorn picked up two wins and Trevor Shull, Brian Nelson, and Andrew Kittredge also won their starts.
This tournament win marks the Dodgers third straight BNW Championship.
June 16, 2008: Dodgers Win 2008 Cardinal Classic Tournament
(Bellevue, WA) Jackson Seaman hit a 2-run double in the 6th to tie the game and Craig Keeton hit an RBI single off the right field wall to win it in the 8th to give the 2008 Dodgers their first tournament championship of the season. Nic Fowler pitched six strong innings and Rusty Shellhorn threw two scoreless innings to pick up his second win of the tournament and earn MVP honors. Several players made key contributions in the tournament including pitching shutouts by Andy Seaman and Andrew Kittredge. Congratulations on a great weekend boys!
June 09, 2008: Six Dodgers Taken in MLB Draft
(Spokane, WA) Six members of the 2008 Dodgers organization have been selected in the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft.
 | Bryan Peterson was drafted in the 11th round by the Boston Red Sox. Bryan is the first Dodger player to ever be drafted. Bryan signed with the Red Sox on Saturday, June 7th and will be heading to Fort Myers Florida this week to begin his professional career. |
 | Jarek Cunningham was selected in the 18th round by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jarek signed with the Pirates on 6/14/08 and will report to the Gulf Coast Pirates this coming week to begin his professional career. |
 | Trevor Shull was selected in the 19th round by the Tampa Bay Rays. |
 | Beau Brett was selected in the 29th round by the Kansas City Royals. |
 | Rusty Shellhorn was selected in the 39th round by the Chicago White Sox. |
 | Andrew Kittredge was selected in the 45th round by the Seattle Mariners. |

(Spokane, WA) Six members of the 2007 Dodgers organization have signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Division 1 Universities.

July 23, 2007: Dodgers 18U Earns Birth in Connie Mack Regionals
(Seattle, WA) The Dodgers 18U team finished with a record of 5-1 in the 2007 Connie Mack State Championship Tournament and were named Washington State Connie Mack Co-Champions. The championship game of the tournament was rained out so the Dodgers and the Seattle Stars were named State Co-Champions. The Dodgers will enter the 2007 Connie Mack Regional Tournament as the #1 seed from Washington. The Connie Mack Regional Tournament will be held at the University of California Irvine (UCI) baseball facility beginning on July 25th.
The Dodgers survived a week of rain and schedule changes to earn the birth. They opened the tournament with four straight wins to win the winners bracket portion of the tournament. It featured a 9-inning game with the Seattle Stars that was not decided until the final inning. The Dodgers then won their first game of the elimination round to guarantee the Regional birth. The Dodgers final game was a 5-0 loss to the Stars. The Stars won two games on Sunday to earn the states second birth to regionals.
Congratulations to the Dodgers 18U on a great accomplishment. It was a tough week and they showed determination and mental toughness to survive.

July 05, 2007: Dodgers 18U Win Best of the Northwest VI Championship
(Spokane, WA) The Dodgers 18U club held on to beat the Triple Play Hornets 5-4 in the championship game to win the 2007 Best of the Northwest Tournament Championship. According to tournament founder Drew Brooks the Dodgers are the first team to repeat as champions in the six years of the BNW Tournament.
The Dodgers won the American Division pool with a 3-1 record and entered championship play as the number 1 seed. In the quarterfinal round the Dodgers 18U defeated the Dodgers 17U squad 10-0 behind 1-hit pitching of Andrew Kittredge and an explosive offense. In the semi-finals the Dodgers avenged their only loss of the tournament by beating the Wilkinson Cardinals 10-3 behind Mike Richard's pitching and 12 hits. In the final, Adam Hill held Triple Play to 1 run through 5 innings. Nate Burgher and Andrew Kittredge combined to pitch the final 2 innings to gain the repeat tournament championship.
Andrew Kittredge was named outstanding pitcher of the tournament and Shea Vucinich was named outstanding defensive player. The MVP award was spread out among the entire Dodger team. Everyone contributed to the tournament success.
The win marks the Dodgers third tournament championship in three tries.
June 25, 2007: 18U Dodgers Win Palouse Summer Series Championship
(Pullman, WA) The Dodgers 18U held on to beat the Washington Wave 8-5 to win the 2007 Palouse Summer Series Championship on Sunday. Featuring solid pitching, timely hitting, and solid defense the Dodgers completed the tournament with a 6-1 record and the championship. Michael Richard was named Outstanding Pitcher for the tournament by throwing a 1-hit shutout in the semi-final against the Seattle Shockers. Michael gave up his only hit in the seventh inning. Alex Reyes was named Outstanding Defensive Player for his stellar work in left field.
The win marks the Dodgers second tournament championship in two tries. They next host the Best of the Northwest VI tournament in Spokane.
May 29, 2007: Dodgers 18U Wins Eastside Memorial Classic Tournament
(Spokane, WA) The Dodgers 18U reeled off three straight wins on Sunday and Monday to win the 2007 Eastside Memorial Classic Tournament at Central Valley High School. The 18U's finished pool play 2-2 to finish as the #3 seed into the semi-finals. They defeated the Washington Warriors 9-0 in 5-innings to win the semi-final. The semi-final featured a 2-hit gem by Paul Smith. In the Championship the 18Us scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning to take a lead it would never let go in beating the Seattle Bombers 5-2. Andrew Kittredge of the 18Us was named the Tournament MVP.

March 06, 2007: Dodgers Achieve Success on Hardwood
Six Dodger 18U players recently finished up very successful winter basketball seasons.
Dodgers 1B/P Beau Brett was a member of the Ferris Saxons state champion basketball team. Ferris won the state title on Saturday night to finish their season with a perfect 29-0 record.
Brodie McCormack (C) and Nate Burgher (P) were members of the Brewster Bears 29-0 state championship team. The championship game appearance marked Brewster's fifth consecutive trip to the championship game.
In the 2B ranks, Derek Gianukakis (IF/P) of Republic finished their season with a third place finish in the state tournament. Derek was named to the All-Tournament team along with being the Panorama League MVP. Michael Richard (P)and Aaron Reinland (P) were members of the state qualifying Desales Irish team.
A total of eleven Dodgers 18U players are multi-sport athletes. The Dodgers program is very proud of the accomplishments of our players both on and off the field.

February 02, 2007: Vucinich Finalist for 2007 Spokane Sports Writers and Broadcasters (SWABS) Award
(Spokane, WA) Dodgers 18U shortstop Shea Vucinich has been named a finalist in the Junior Male division of the 2007 Spokane Sports Writers and Broadcasters (SWABS) Awards. Shea is one of ten finalists in the Junior Male division.
The annual event, put on by the Spokane Regional Sports Commission (SRSC) under luncheon chair Jeff Colliton, is an afternoon set aside to recognize high school athletics. Some 1,200 people will be in attendance, primarily high school athletes whose luncheon cost is defrayed thanks to the generosity of major sponsors State Farm Insurance, Rockwood Clinic and Spokane Hoopfest.

August 31, 2006: Dodgers Claim Fourth Tournament Title of Season
(Spokane, WA) The Dodgers came back in the championship game of the National Wood Bat Tournament in Spokane to beat the Seattle Rainiers 9-2. The Rainiers had beaten the Dodgers 5-2 earlier in pool play. The Dodgers beat Fairweather Red 13-2 in the semi-final.
This tournament victory is the fourth tournament title for the 2007 Dodgers and finishes off a great 2007 season. The Dodgers finished with a 36-15 record.
