August 03, 2010: Dodgers 14U Win USSSA Summer Celebration Tournament
(Puyallup, WA) The 14U Dodgers won their 5th tournament of the season by winning the 2010 USSSA Summer Celebration tournament in Puyallup, WA. The Dodgers completed the weekend with a 4-0 overall record. Pool play started Saturday night against the PBC Nationals and the Graham Eagles. The Dodgers dominated both games to finish 2-0 in pool play. Sunday morning was a semi-final match up against the Seattle Select Purple team. A very good game with solid pitching and defense proved to be the difference as the Dodgers won 4-1. The championship was against the Puyallup Jags. The Dodgers jumped out early and never looked back and won the game 14-2.
August 03, 2010: Dodgers 14U Win BPA Western Worlds Tournament
(Snohomish, WA) The 14U Dodgers won their 6th tournament of the season by winning the 2010 BPA Western Worlds tournament in Snohomish, WA July 30 - August 1. The Dodgers went 2-1 in pool play to seed second in their division. The only loss was great game against the Puyallup Cardinals. The Cardinals won 4-3 with a squeeze in the bottom of the 7th. The quarter final game was a match up against the Bremerton Stingers. The Dodgers jumped out early and continued to add runs and won the game 7-1. The semi final game was against a very tough NW Bandits team. The Dodgers and Bandits fought to a 3-3 tie after 7 innings. The Dodgers prevailed in the 8th with two solo home runs to win an exciting game 5-3. The excitement continued as the Dodgers beat the Puyallup Cardinals 3-2 in a back-and-forth battle in the championship game. This was a great weekend for the 14U Dodgers. A true team effort!
July 15, 2010: Dodgers 14U Win Baseball NW Summer Tournament II
(Chehalis, WA) The 14U Dodgers won their 4th tournament of the season by winning the 2010 Baseball Northwest Summer Tournament II. This tournament had some of the best teams in the Northwest competing. The Dodgers started pool play with an 11-8 win over the Rawlings Rebels. The second pool game was against a very tough NW Diamond Sports team. The Dodgers controlled the game until late and lost in the final inning 7-4. The Dodgers faced a very talented Puget Sound Shockers for the final pool game of the weekend. The Dodgers won 1-0 to finish 2-1 in pool play. The win gave the Dodgers some momentum heading in to the playoff round on Sunday. The Dodgers opened up with the Tri-City Vipers in the quarter-final game and won in convincing fashion 8-0. The semi-final game was a rematch with the Puget Sound Shockers. Again, the Dodgers prevailed 5-2 and moved on to the championship game. The final was another rematch, this time with the NW Diamond Sports squad. The Dodgers and Diamond Sports battled to a 0-0 tie after 7 innings. In the top of the 8th the Dodgers found a way with some clutch hitting and scored two runs and went on to win the game 2-0 in eight innings. Solid defense, timely hitting and outstanding pitching was enough to earn another tournament championship. With the tournament win the 14U Dodgers earned an automatic bid to the 2010 Baseball Northwest Junior Northwest Championship Tournament August 6-8.
June 11, 2010: Two Current And Two Former Dodgers Taken In MLB Draft
(Spokane, WA) Two members of the 2010 Dodgers and two members of the 2007 Dodgers have been selected in the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft.

May 11, 2010: Dodgers 14U Win CABA World Series Qualifier
(Snohomish, WA) The 14U Dodgers won their 3rd tournament of the season by going 6-0 and winning the 2010 C.A.B.A World Series Qualifier in Snohomish, WA May 8-9. The Dodgers competed hard with 6 games in 2 days. Pool play started on Saturday and the Dodgers got off to a good start with a 13-3 win over the Burnstead Baseball club. Momentum continued on Saturday as the Dodgers beat a tough Seattle Select Black team 11-5 and the final game of the day was a win over Sedro Woolley 12-0. The Dodgers pounded the ball all day scoring 36 runs in 3 games. Sunday morning the Dodgers finished pool play with another impressive victory over the School of Hard Knocks 9-3. The Dodgers earned the #1 seed with a 4-0 pool record going in to the playoff rounds. The semi-final game was a rematch with the Sedro Woolley club. The Dodgers jumped out early and held on to win 10-4 giving the Dodgers their fourth consecutive tournament championship game. The momentum continued as the Dodgers went back and fourth with a tough Seattle Bombers team and finished with a 6-4 victory to earn their 3rd tournament championship.
April 26, 2010: Dodgers 14U Win BPA Battle of the Bats Championship
(Yakima, WA) The 14U Dodgers won their second tournament of the season by going 4-0 and winning the 2010 BPA "Sports Forum" Battle of the Bats tournament in Yakima, WA April 24-25. The Dodgers started pool play on Saturday against a tough Blue Rock team and held on to win 8-2. Solid pitching and defense was the key as the Dodgers pulled away at the end. The second game of the day the Dodgers put on an impressive offensive display in a 14-2 victory over the Yakima Stingers to finish 2-0 in pool play and earn a berth to the Gold playoff bracket on Sunday. The semi-final game was a matchup against the Washington Senators. The Dodgers won a hard fought game 8-5 with some timely hitting and enough pitching and defense to get the win. For the championship game the Dodgers faced a very solid Clackamas Cavs team. The Cavs jumped out to an early 2-0 in the top of the first but the Dodgers bounced back and scored 4 in the bottom half to take a 4-2 lead. Both teams had great pitching and defense the rest of the way. The Dodgers held on to win 4-3 when the final out was made when the Cavs had the bases loaded in the 7th. A great game and another great performance by the Dodgers!
April 02, 2010: Dodgers 14U Win BPA Kickoff Classic
(Wenatchee, WA) The 14U Dodgers won their first tournament of the season by winning the 2010 BPA Summer Kickoff Classic in Wenatchee, WA March 26-28. The Dodgers started out pool play with victories over Brooklyn Baseball Club (Yakima) and the Maltby Battlecats. The pool play victories sealed a first seed in the playoff rounds and a first round bye. The semi-final game was a rematch against the Maltby Battlecats. The game was close until the Dodgers put Maltby away and won the game 9-1. Great pitching and a late surge offensively was the difference. The championship game was against the Spokane Vipers. The game was back and forth but the Dodgers found a way to win it in the bottom of the 7th with two runs and a 7-6 victory and earned the 2010 BPA Summer Kickoff tournament championship.
November 12, 2009: Five Dodgers Commit to Division 1 Schools
(Spokane, WA) Five members of the 2010 Dodgers organization have committed to Division 1 Universities.

June 05, 2009: 13U Dodgers Win Spokane Summer Kick Off Tournament
(Spokane, WA) The 13U Dodgers won their 3rd tournament of the season by winning the 2009 Spokane Summer Kick Off. The Dodgers started out with an impressive offensive performance and a 22-2 victory against the Spokane River Cats in their first pool play game. Saturday the Dodgers beat the Lewiston Bullets 5-2 and the Missoula FishHawks 11-5 to finish 3-0 in pool play and the #1 seed going in to Sunday playoffs.
The Dodgers kept their winning ways by beating the Spokane Vipers 7-5 to earn a bid to the championship game. The Missoula FishHawks held off the Tri-City Vipers in their semi-final game to set up the re-match. The Dodgers jumped out to a commanding 10-0 lead in the first inning and held on to win the game 12-8 and earned the 2009 Spokane Summer Kick Off tournament championship.
May 14, 2009: 13U Dodgers Win Missoula Invitational Tournament
(Missoula, MT) The 13U Club Spokane Dodgers went 5-0 and won the 2009 Missoula Invitational Tournament in Missoula, MT May 8-10. The Dodgers had a busy schedule on Saturday for pool play. They started at 8:00am against the Missoula Outlaws and won the game 4-2. Solid pitching and defense was the difference. The 4:30pm game was against the host team Missoula FishHawks. A strong offensive production from the entire lineup proved to be the difference for the Dodgers in the 10-2 victory. The third game of the day was against the Great Falls Amigos. The Dodgers jumped out early and held on to win 10-4 for their third victory of the day.
The semi-final game on Sunday was a rematch of the host Missoula FishHawks. The Dodgers stormed out to a 9-0 lead in the top half of the first inning. The FishHawks fought back throughout the game and came within two runs but the Dodgers put them away late and won 19-9 in seven innings. The championship game was another rematch. This time with the Great Falls Amigos. The Amigos beat the Billings Regulators in their semi-final game to advance to the championship game. Again, the Dodgers jumped out early with a 3-0 lead. However, the game would take a dramatic change in momentum and the Great Falls Amigos carried a 9-3 lead going in to the 5th inning. The Dodgers' never-say-die attitude proved to be the difference as they rallied for one run in the 5th and five runs in the 6th to make it a 9-8 ball game. The Dodgers shut down the Amigos in the bottom half of the 6th to keep it a one run game. With their final at bat, the Dodgers scored four runs with two outs to take a 12-9 lead and completely took over the momentum of the game. Again the Dodgers shut down the Amigos in the bottom of the 7th to seal the win and their second tournament victory.
March 30, 2009: 13U Dodgers Win BPA Kickoff Classic Tournament
(Wenatchee, WA) The 13U Club Spokane Dodgers got their first tournament win in as many tries in 2009 by winning the March 27-29 BPA Kickoff Classic in Wenatchee, WA. The Dodgers got out of the gates slow and lost their first pool play game 4-1 to the Washington Wave. It was the Dodgers second time outside this season and on top of that faced very strong Wave pitching. The Dodgers bounced back in a huge way reeling off five straight victories to claim the title.
The Dodgers won two pool games on Saturday by beating the Moses Lake Rivercats 9-1 and the Wenatchee Valley Athletics 8-4 and finishing 2-1 in pool play.
Fighting cold and windy weather on Sunday the Dodgers needed to win three playoff games to win the tournament. The first game Sunday morning was against the Issaquah Thunder. The Dodgers jumped out to a commanding lead and won the game 12-2. The semi-final game was a matchup against the Spokane Vipers. Again, the Dodgers dominated with strong pitching and overwhelming offense as the Dodgers beat the Vipers 16-1 in four innings. The final game matched the Dodgers up against the Pine Lake (Sammamish) Pilots. The momentum continued as the Dodgers claimed the title with an impressive 11-2 victory.
Pitching, strong defense and a very impressive offensive weekend all contributed to the weekend's success. Congratulations 13U Club Spokane Dodgers on the first tournament championship of the season.
August 11, 2008: 12U Dodgers Finish 3rd at Pee Wee Reese World Series
(Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) The 12U Club Spokane Dodgers took 3rd place in the 2008 AABC Pee Wee Reese World Series in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. There were 8 teams total, 6 teams representing the domestic US and 2 teams from Puerto Rico. The Dodgers were the West representatives along with teams from Michigan (North), Georgia (Southeast), New Mexico (South), Ohio (East), Connecticut (Northeast), and Puerto Rico.
The Dodgers didn't know what to expect. After a long trip from Spokane to Toa Baja the Dodgers took on a very good Connecticut team. It was a hard fought game but the Dodgers lost 8-5. The next game was against the team from New Mexico and the Dodgers won 13-5 behind a very solid offensive effort. The final pool play game the Dodgers took on the host team from Puerto Rico. The stadium was filled with fans supporting their home team. The Dodgers got down quickly in the top of the 1st 3-0 but battled back with 3 runs of their own in the bottom half to tie the game 3-3. The Dodgers came out with a victory 9-4 to finish 2-1 in pool play and advanced to the playoff round.
The Dodgers drew the #1 seed team (Puerto Rico National Team) for the semi-final game. The game was played in primetime at 8:00pm Saturday night and was broadcasted live over the Internet. Unfortunately, the Dodgers ran in to a very strong pitcher from Puerto Rico who was throwing in the low 80's. We battled but came up short losing 8-0. The PR National team went on to win the 2008 World Series and the Dodgers finished with a very respectable 3rd place.
August 03, 2008: 12U Dodgers Win 2008 West Coast Nationals
(Hillsboro, OR) The Dodgers 12U club won the 2008 West Coast Nationals against the best competition in the North West. There were 18 teams in the 12U division. The Dodgers played some of their best baseball of the season.
The championship game was a very hard fought victory against the NW Diamond Sports club out of the Portland, OR area. The Dodgers won 4-1 in the final game to earn the tournament championship.
The tournament started off with a 9-1 victory against the 2007 tournament champion Salmon Creek Sluggers. The Dodgers then went on to beat the Washington Brewers 6-4, Missoula Fishhawks 12-10, and tied the Bainbridge Niners 2-2 to finish 3-0-1 in pool play. In the semi-final game the Dodgers jumped on the Seattle Select Rainiers for an early 7-0 lead and held on to win 10-2 to advance to the championship game.
The Dodgers finished the tournament 5-0-1 to beccome the 2008 West Coast National Champions. It was another solid team effort against some very stiff competition.
July 20, 2008: 12U Dodgers Win 2008 Hit the Turf III Championship
(SeaTac, WA) The 12U Dodgers got their second tournament championship of 2008 at the USSSA Hit the Turf III tournament at Valley Ridge Park in SeaTac, WA. The Dodgers beat the Issaquah Dragons 9-7 in the championship game. The game went back and forth and the Dragons tied the game at 7 in the bottom of the 5th inning. The Dodgers scored 2 runs in the top half of the 6th with clutch hitting and held on for the 9-7 victory.
The Dodgers went 3-0 in pool play with all games being very close. They had wins of 6-4, 3-2, 6-5, and 9-7. Another great team effort. Pitching and strong defense was the difference for the Dodgers in this tournament.
June 15, 2008: Dodgers 12U wins 2008 Father's Day Slugfest
(Pasco, WA) The Dodgers 12U club beat the Meridian Stars 10-5 in the championship game to win the 2008 Father's Day Slugfest in Pasco, WA. Meridian jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 2nd but the Dodgers stormed back in the bottom half of the inning scoring 7 runs of their own.
The Dodgers went 3-1 in pool play before advancing to the championship game. The tournament win was a team effort. Everyone contributed with timely hitting and strong pitching.
This was the 13U Dodgers first tournament championship.
